A Samsung Galaxy S8 that no longer comes on, unfortunately, is becoming more common. The cause of the problem is not yet known, but in some cases these tips can solve the problem.

Sometimes the problem can be caused by an empty battery. Connect your Samsung Galaxy S8 to a charger for around 20 minutes.

A bug in the operating system can also cause the problem. You can try a hard reset. 

Make sure your device is connected to a charger. To perform a hard reset, follow the next step:
  • Press and hold the volume up button and the on / off button simultaneously for about 5 seconds. 
  • Your device will then switch on again.
  • In the event that the device does not turn on, try starting the device in Safe Mode. 
To start the Samsung Galaxy S8 in Safe-Mode, follow the steps below.

1- First switch off the device

2- Hold down the on-off button until the Samsung appears on the screen.

3- Immediately afterwards hold the volume down button. Continue pressing the volume down button until the device has finished restarting.

4- Release the volume down button when Safe-Mode appears on your screen.

5- Then remove the apps, which may cause problems.

To disable Safe-Mode perform these two steps:

1- Hold down the on-off button.

2- Press the on-off button

3- Tap restart

You can perform a system recovery last. Pay attention! All your data will be deleted. 

It is recommended that you back up your data. To perform a system recovery, follow the steps below:

1- First switch off your device.

2- Press the volume up button, Bixby button and on-off button simultaneously until the Samsung logo appears.

3- Navigate with the volume down button to 'wipe data / factory' reset and then press the on-off button.

4- Navigate with the volume down button to 'yes' and then press the on-off button.
